This cake is decadent and so different. Packed full of wonderful flavors. I love it and hope you do to.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • Icing:
  • 2 cups powder sugar
  • 1 stick margarine softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

Directions
  1. Combine cake ingredients and mix well until smooth.
  2. Pour into greased and floured rectangular pan and bake at 350 for 35 minutes.
  3. Cream all icing ingredients and frost cake when completely cooled.

Believe it or not, the best peanut butter cake I ever had was the one served in my elementary school cafeteria! LOL This sounds very similar, am going to have to try it out! Absolutely heavenly!
