Ingredients

2 cups flour

2 cups granulated sugar

2 eggs

3/4 cup shortening

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup buttermilk

3/4 cup hot water

1 cup creamy peanut butter

Icing:

2 cups powder sugar

1 stick margarine softened

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/4 cup milk

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

Directions

Combine cake ingredients and mix well until smooth.

Pour into greased and floured rectangular pan and bake at 350 for 35 minutes.

Cream all icing ingredients and frost cake when completely cooled.
