Sweet and Sour Red Cabbage

My standard and favorite. This is good hot OR cold the next day. Don't laugh....I eat this as a snack!
Ingredients
- 2 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled shopping list
- 1/2 head red cabbage, shredded shopping list
- 1/4 cup vinegar shopping list
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (I use brown sugar Twin and you can't tell the difference) shopping list
- 2 tablespoons water shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
How to make it
- In electric skillet, saute the bacon until crisp. Remove bacon and use for something else. Add vinegar & brown sugar, water and salt. Mix well. Add cabbage and mix well again. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until cabbage is tender.
