Welsh Rarebit

- 4 TB soft butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup beer shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 2 tsp mustard shopping list
- 3/4 tsp thyme shopping list
- 1-1/2 tsps Worcestershire shopping list
- Pinch of cayenne shopping list
- 3/4 lbs. grated cheese (cheddar) shopping list
- 8 slices crusty bread shopping list
- 2 tomatoes sliced shopping list
How to make it
- Melt 2 Tb. butter in a double boiler.
- Beer, egg, mustard, beat together beer, egg, mustard, thyme, Worcestershire and cayenne pepper.
- Add with cheese to butter.
- Stir until smooth, about 8 minutes.
- Toast bread and spread with remaining 2 TB butter.
- Top with tomatoes and serve.
