Scented Rocks

Arrange the stones in a sort of still life. Place them in a bowl or dish to scent a room. A nice alternative to potpourri! I made three for each guest, and placed them on a coaster-sized paper doily on each dinner plate.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup plain flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon essential oil (your favorite scent) shopping list
- 2/3 cups boiling water shopping list
- food coloring, if desired shopping list
How to make it
- In bowl, mix dry ingredients well.
- Add essential oil, and boiling water to dry ingredients. (Scent will be strong, but will fade slightly when dry.)
- For colored stones, blend in food coloring, one drop at a time until desired shade is reached.
- Blend ingredients, and form roughly-shaped balls, not too large. (Think worry stone size)
- As the stones dry, gently carve into them whatever design or word or name you wish there.
- Allow stones to dry completely.
