Banana and Meringue Brulee Trifle

- 1 -1/2 cups crumbled meringues shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups whipping cream shopping list
- 3 large bananas shopping list
- juice of 1 small lemon shopping list
- 1/4 cup powder sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 tablespoon water shopping list
How to make it
- Crumble meringues
- In a large bowl, whip cream untill thick and add powder sugar.
- Slice bananas thinly into a separate bowl and toss in lemon juice.
- Fold crumbled meringues, and bananas into whipped cream.
- Spoon mixture into a Trifle dish and chill.
- In small saucepan combine granulated sugar and water. Cook over low heat until sugar dissolves, do not stir.
- When sugar has dissolved , increase heat and boil syrup to a rich brown caramel.
- Immediately pour caramel in a thin stream over banana cream mixture and chill until caramel hardens,.
- Serve within 1 to 2 hours.
