How to make it

  • In deep pan or iron skillet place uncooked rice. Place onion, parsley, and celery on top of rice. Pour tomato juice and water over. Place pork chops on top of rice mixture and bake covered at 350 for 1 hour.

    That looks like my kind of recipe. I always wondered though, why we were supposed to have a fancy dinner on Sunday that somehow was supposed to cook itself while we were at church! We usually had pot roast since you could cook it slowly.

    Slower times with "slow cooking"....wouldn't that be wonderful! Sounds like a very good little recipe. Easy, simple and tasty! Know you are enjoying your cookbook. :)
