- For the marinade: shopping list
- 1-1.5 tablespoons freshly grated ginger shopping list
- 3-5 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 tablespoon tapioca starch shopping list
- 1 tablespoon rice cooking wine shopping list
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce shopping list
- 2 tablespoons dark sweet soy sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon palm sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1 tablespoon chopped green onions shopping list
- 1 tablespoon chopped shallots shopping list
- 1/2 - -1 pound meat of your choice: beef, chicken, pork, thinly sliced. Or omit meat, or use tofu shopping list
- For the dish: shopping list
- 16 ounces wide rice noodles shopping list
- 2 tablespoons sweet dark soy sauce shopping list
- 2 cups broccoli florets shopping list
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon palm sugar shopping list
- 1 tablespoons oyster sauce shopping list
- 2 eggs beaten shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon Thai pepper powder shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all the marinade ingredients and add the meat. Marinate for an hour or so.
- Soak the noodles in warm water for 30 minutes then rinse in cold water. Add noodles to a pot of boiling water and boil for 1 minute, then rinse in cold water again.
- Transfer the noodles to a large bowl, separate the noodles and toss thoroughly with sweet soy sauce. Set aside.
- Heat a wok or large skillet and a little oil and stir fry the marinated meat. Add the noodles, toss and add the broccoli .
- Push the noodles and broccoli to the sides of the wok to open up the middle, then add beaten eggs.
- Stir the eggs around a bit and then, just before the eggs set, fold all the noodles and broccoli together and stir well with remaining ingredients.
- Sprinkle with the pepper powder and serve.
