How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 400 F degrees
  • Beat the eggs in bowl. Mix in sugar, salt, vanilla and syrup.
  • Melt the butter and add it to the egg mixture.
  • Stir in nuts.
  • Pour filling into pie shell.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to 300 F and continue baking for 35 to 40 min.
  • If crust starts to brown to fast, put a 2 inch band of foil around. I do this at start and remove it about 15 min before done.
