Sounds yummy, Yum Yum! can fresh strawberries be used?

Well, to be honest, I have only ever made it with frozen strawberries, so I really dont know. if you do try it with fresh ones please let me know how it comes out! Enjoy

Would you believe that they don't exist in Italy? I'd have to freeze them first, but it might be worth it to have this in winter. Interesting recipe, indeed.

Hi! Made this today with fresh strawberries, I did slice them in half. Yes it does work, well at least mine was delicious. My husband loved it said it was very different he also said that it would be good made with cherries too.Might try that one!
What about tin strawberries do you think that would work.
I will certainly try this again and experiment with different fruit.
Thanks for this!

Hi
Just had to say that this cake improves with age, as it was just my husband and I that enjoyed the cake I had to cover it with cling film as there was to much for us to eat, and each time I had a slice it got better. It really is a delicious cake thank you.

Another one in the must-try list ...

OK, I froze strawberries in 10 ounce packets and today they will go into this cake! I do stick to it, eventually.
