Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 250. Spray a large roasting pan with Pam and put the Cheetos into it.
  • In a heavy, large saucepan, mix sugar, margarine and corn syrup. Bring to a boil and continue boiling for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Remove pan from heat and mix in baking soda. Stir in completely - it will turn white and become foamy (this is why you need to be sure to use a LARGE pot so it doesn't foam over the top).
  • Pour syrup over Cheetos and toss VERY thoroughly (and gently) to coat all the puffs. Bake for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • Spread baked puffs onto waxed paper, separating as much as possible and cool completely.
  • NOTE: If you make a double recipe, bake them 20 minutes longer.
