Ingredients

How to make it

  • Mix flour and baking soda with little water to a smooth batter
  • Hold the ladle with holes on top of hot oil .
  • Pour some batter all over the holes .
  • Let the batter fall into hot oil .
  • Once golden , remove .
  • Repeat for remaining batter .
  • Make sugar syrup with the sugar , colouring , cardamom and water .
  • Dip the fried holes in it .
  • Remove and serve on it's own .
  • Or serve with white / milk payasam ( recipe uploaded ) or use to prepare LADDU ( will be uploaded soon ) .

    I can't believe my eyes! What a lovely surprise to find this recipe posted. My husband, children and myself enjoy Boondi so very much. We have a favourite East Indian store that we visit often and they sell Boondi along with other tasty snacks. Now I can make my own ;) Thank you so very much Cholena for submitting this recipe.
