How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Mix pumpkin, both sugars, eggs, vanilla extract, milk, and spices Pour into 9 x 13 pan,. greased
  • Sprinkle dry cake mix on top and pat down
  • Pour butter on top
  • Sprinkle with nuts
  • Bake for 45 to 60 minutes

    Hi Wynne - this is my absolute favourite pumpkin dessert. I have made it twice a year for probably 14 years because it is my son Joel's favourite dessert. Only difference with my recipe is that I use a butter pecan cake mix -- after having made it both ways, I just prefer the butter pecan, it seems to blend with the pumpkin and pecans better and has a better colour for them than the yellow.
