- BRINE shopping list
- alum shopping list
- 2 QUARTS WHITE sugar shopping list
- 2 STICKS cinnamon shopping list
- 1 TBSP. whole cloves shopping list
- 1 QUART vinegar (OR MORE{ shopping list
- 1 egg RAW IN SHELL shopping list
How to make it
- PLACE CUCUMBERS IN BRINE SALTY ENOUGH TO FLOAT THE EGG. LEAVE FOR 5 DAYS.
- REMOVE FROM BRINE AND WASH IN FRESH COOL WATER, SLICE ¼ INCH OR THICKER.
- PLACE IN FRESH WATER WITH ALUM, LET STAND OVERNIGHT.
- HEAT YOUR VINEGAR, SUGAR AND SPICES, POUR OVER CUCUMBERS AND FOR 4 DAYS DRAIN, REHEAT AND REPEAT … ON THE 4TH SEAL IN CLEAN JARS.
- I ADD GREEN FOOD COLORING, BUT RECIPE DOES NOT CALL FOR IT.
