This is a great recipe for the BBQ Season....its quick and easy to make...A different twist ...goes with anything....Cooking Light 2002

Ingredients
  • Vinaigrette:
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Slaw:
  • 2 1/2 cups chopped sweet apple
  • 1 package broccoli slaw (12 oz size)
  • 1 package dried tart cherries (3 oz)
  • 2 tablesppons unsalted sunflower seed kernels

Directions
  1. Vinaigrette:
  2. Combine first 5 ingredients in a small bowl; stirring well with wisk.
  3. Slaw:
  4. Combine apple, broccoli slaw, and dried cherries.
  5. Drizzle with vinaigrette; toss well to combine.
  6. Sprinkle with sunflower seeds; chill for up to 3 hours.
  7. Yield 8 servings.
