How to make it

  • 1. combine tomatoes and juice in a stockpot and simmer for 30 minutes
  • 2. puree the tomatoes and the juice with the basil leaves in a blender in batches
  • 3. return the mixture to the stockpot, add the cream and the butter and heat through. add the salt and pepper to taste
  • 4. serve hot
