Fresh Cherry And Nectarine Cobbler

- 1/2 c. sugar shopping list
- 1 tbs. cornstartch shopping list
- 1/2 c. warm water shopping list
- 2 c. fresh cherries, pitted shopping list
- 1 medium to large nectarine (total of about 3 c. of fruit) shopping list
- 1 1/2 c. flour shopping list
- 1 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 1 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
- 4 tbs. butter shopping list
- 3/4 c. milk shopping list
- 2 tsp. sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Combine 1/2 c. sugar and cornstarch in saucepan
- Slowly add water and stir until simmering
- Let simmer for about a minute
- Remove from heat and mix in fruit
- Place fruit mixture in 8x8 glass baking dish
- Dot with a little butter if desired
- In medium bowl, combine flour baking powder and cinnamon
- Cut in butter until mixture looks crumblike
- Stir in milk
- Drop by spoonfuls onto fruit mixture
- Evenly sprinkle sugar and a dash of cinnamon on top
- Bake at 400 for about 35 min.
- Cool on rack
