Green Tomato Chocolate Cake Recipe

How to make it

  • In a mixing bowl cream together butter and sugar unteil light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time.
  • Beat well after each addition.
  • Stir in vanilla and orange peel.
  • Combine cocoa, flour, baking powder and soda, salt and cinnamon.
  • AAdd to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk and tomatoes.
  • Fold in pecans.
  • Turn into a greased and lightly floured fluted 10 inch tube pan.
  • Bake at 350 for 1 hour or when cake testsas done.
  • Invert onto rack until completely cool.

  • Combine glaze ingredients in a small bowl and mix well.
  • Drizzle over cooled cake.
