Homemade Italian Sausage Spaghetti Sauce

- 1 pound Italian pork sausage links, Hot style shopping list
- 1 pound Italian pork sausage link, sweet style shopping list
- 1 tablespoon olive oil shopping list
- 1 pound onions, chopped shopping list
- 2 green peppers, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced shopping list
- 4 large cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 2 18 ounce cans tomato paste shopping list
- 2 24 ounce cans tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 28 ounce can tomatoes, do not drain shopping list
- 1/4 cup coffee powder, instant shopping list
- 1 tablespoon thyme shopping list
- 3 tablespoons basil shopping list
- 2 tablespoons oregano shopping list
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes shopping list
- salt and pepper, to taste shopping list
- 36 ounces red wine (2 tomato paste cans full - stir well to get all the paste left in the cans) shopping list
- 2 bay leaves shopping list
How to make it
- In largest dutch oven you have, saute sausage (removed from casing, breaking up with potato masher) until browned. Remove from pan, pour off grease. Saute veggies in olive oil, add the rest of the ingredients.
- Cook slowly for several hours, stirring frequently.
- Freeze what you don't use in quart containers.

Great post will have a lot left over to freeze never heard of instant coffee in this kind of sauce. Got my 5'er on this one.
