Aunt Medas Corn
From morninlite 15 years agoIngredients
- 12 cups fresh uncooked corn cut from cob (do not scrape cob) shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup salt shopping list
- milk shopping list
How to make it
- Put cut corn in a large pot
- Add sugar and salt, cover with water and boil for 20 minutes.
- pour off brine water, and cover with cool water and let sit on the back of the stove for a little while.
- When ready to serve, pour off water and a little milk
- This is really a lot of corn, it just calls for canning! So, put in quart jars and process in a hot bath for canning. I would leave out the milk until you are ready to heat up for dinner. (Thanks Henrie!)
