Ingredients

How to make it

  • Put cut corn in a large pot
  • Add sugar and salt, cover with water and boil for 20 minutes.
  • pour off brine water, and cover with cool water and let sit on the back of the stove for a little while.
  • When ready to serve, pour off water and a little milk
  • This is really a lot of corn, it just calls for canning! So, put in quart jars and process in a hot bath for canning. I would leave out the milk until you are ready to heat up for dinner. (Thanks Henrie!)

I am not into controversy, but being a nurse, and being from Middle Tennessee, I feel like I should apologize for the comments made from another Tennessean portraying the role of a nurse... I love corn, and I love your recipe! You definitely get a high five from me! Teresa
