Ingredients

How to make it

  • bring water to a boil
  • heavily salt when boiling
  • cook shrimp in water
  • when fully cooked, remove from water and rinse with cold water
  • cook macaroni
  • while macaroni cooks -
  • peel shrimp and chop in to pieces (i cut each shrimp in thirds)
  • mix mayo, dressing, celery, onion and seasonings in to dressing
  • drain and rinse macaroni noodles in cold water
  • toss macaroni with shrimp and dressing
  • add extra salt and pepper to taste
  • chill in refrigerator
  • enjoy

    I adore shrimp salad. Try roasting the shrimp, shell on for a greater depth of flavor and a meatier texture. Also, adding salt before serving runs the risk of drawing moisture from the celery, onion, and shrimp making the dish a runny mess. Trust me; I learned this the hard way.

    oh yeah.. i LOVE pasta salads and when you suggested adding shrimp i could tell this was going to be a good one. for adults i would add just a dash of tobasco or a bit of horseradish. sometimes we need a kick. high 5!
