- 1 - quart strawberries, divided…. shopping list
- 1- 1/2 - cups boiling water shopping list
- 2 -pkg ( 4-serving size each) jello-o brand strawberry flavor gelatin shopping list
- 1 -cup cold water plus ice cubes…… shopping list
- 1 -pkg -( 12 ounces) pound cake , cut into 10 slices shopping list
- 1-1/3 - cups blueberries, divided shopping list
- 2 - pkg ( 8 ounces) cream cheese, softened shopping list
- 1/4 - cup sugar shopping list
- 1 - ( 8 ounce) carton of whipped topping ( Cool Whip) shopping list
How to make it
- Slice 1 cup of the strawberries; set aside.
- Half the remaining 3 cups of strawberries and set aside.
- Bring water to a boil and pour into a large bowl with the dry gelatin mixes stir at least 2 minutes until all is dissolved…….
- Add enough ice to cold water to measure 2 cups, add to gelatin; stir until ice is melted...
- Refrigerate 5 minutes or until the gelatin is slightly thickened (consistency of an unbeaten egg)
- Meanwhile, line bottom of 13 x 9 inch glass pan with cake slices…
- Add sliced strawberries and 1 cup of the blueberries to thickened gelatin…stir gently
- Spoon over the cake slices…..
- Refrigerate 4 hours until set…
- Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth…..
- Stir in whipped topping……..
- Spread mixture over the gelatin…..
- Arrange the blue berries and strawberries.. To create a flag
- Makes 20 servings
