How to make it

  • Slice 1 cup of the strawberries; set aside.
  • Half the remaining 3 cups of strawberries and set aside.
  • Bring water to a boil and pour into a large bowl with the dry gelatin mixes stir at least 2 minutes until all is dissolved…….
  • Add enough ice to cold water to measure 2 cups, add to gelatin; stir until ice is melted...
  • Refrigerate 5 minutes or until the gelatin is slightly thickened (consistency of an unbeaten egg)
  • Meanwhile, line bottom of 13 x 9 inch glass pan with cake slices…
  • Add sliced strawberries and 1 cup of the blueberries to thickened gelatin…stir gently
  • Spoon over the cake slices…..
  • Refrigerate 4 hours until set…
  • Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth…..
  • Stir in whipped topping……..
  • Spread mixture over the gelatin…..
  • Arrange the blue berries and strawberries.. To create a flag
  • Makes 20 servings
