White Chocolate Coconut Cake

this is an easy cake to make and looks very elegant.... this recipe come from the Gooseberry Patch series of cookbooks
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 4 eggs, beaten shopping list
- 4 ounces white chocolate , melted shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups flour shopping list
- 1 teasp. baking powder shopping list
- 1 teasp. vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 1 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped shopping list
- 1 cup flaked coconut shopping list
How to make it
- cream butter and sugar with an electric mixer
- add eggs and melted chocolate, blend well
- add flour,baking powder, vanilla, buttermilk, chopped nuts and the coconut. blend well
- pour into 3 greased 9-inch round cake pans
- bake at 350'F for 35 minutes
- cool cake
- ice with white chocolate icing* or your favorite icing and garnish with white chocolate or milk chocolate curls
