How to make it

  • In a med. bowl,combine all ingredients and whisk well. Transfer to a jar,cover and store away from heat and light. The rub will keep for several months.

    This would be great on a ribeye. A long time ago Lipton made an onion soup mix that was Fiesta flavored I would mix it with brownsugar and rub on the steak. I think I have FINALLY found the homemade version of this rub and I'm so happy! When they discontinued that flavor I was never able to recreate it. Thanks!!

    Pretty much right on the money. I prefer onion powder over the onion flakes because the rub gets better adhesion to the meat.
