How to make it

  • 1. Place pot large enough to hold ribs and water, on the stove. Add bay leaves and peppercorns and bring to a simmer.(Watch to make sure there is enough water at all times.) After a couple hours, remove ribs from water and dry well.
  • 2. Mix sauce ingredients about an hour before cooking, put them in a shallow pan or tray and spread some of the marinade on them. Get the BBQ good and hot, then turn the heat down to low. Grill the ribs for about 10-20 minutes, and keep slapping on the rest of the marinade. Keep the lid on the Q closed as much as possible to keep fire from flaring up and scorching them.
  • 3. Keep lots of paper towels on hand and lots of beer to go with....enjoy!

    These sounds delicious - I make them the same way, except for your choice of ingredients which I find super intriguing! And since hoisin is also used - a fave ingredient of mine....Im all in! Got me my five ribs...
