Perfect Pear Honey

Pear Honey makes a delicious addition to your favorite biscuit, pancake, waffle, or slice of toast. It is similiar to a preserve, but a little sweeter. The ginger gives it a clean refreshing flavor.
Ingredients
- 8 cups pears, sliced shopping list
- 2 cups crushed pineapple shopping list
- 5 cups sugar shopping list
- 1 lemon, juiced and rind grated shopping list
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger shopping list
How to make it
- 1.Wash, pare, and core ripened pears. Slice and measure.
- 2.Put the pears through a food chopper using a fine blade.
- 3.Add remaining ingredients to the pears.
- 4.Cook pver slow heat. stirring frequently for 20 minutes, or until desired consistancy.
- 5.Pack into hot sterilized jars and seal.
