Shopska salad is a very traditional Bulgarian salad. It's a great treat on a hot, summer day.

Ingredients
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 tbs. chopped onion
  • 2 oz. feta cheese
  • olive oil
  • vinegar

Directions
  1. Chop cucumber and tomato into bite sized pieces.
  2. Mix or layer chunks of tomato and cucumber in individual serving dishes.
  3. Sprinkle onion pieces over vegetables.
  4. Grate feta cheese on top of salad.
  5. Serve with oil and vinegar.

This has been my all time favourite salad since I was a toddler. I personally substitute vinegar with lemon juice (just my personal taste). Thanks!
