Ingredients

How to make it

  • Heat white wine and butter in large stock pot
  • Add freshly minced garlic and pepper
  • Add little neck clams
  • Steam for 5 minutes until opened
  • Discard any clams that do not open
  • Place clam in half shell on baking sheet
  • Spoon in juice from stock pot
  • Cube the bread about the size of a penny and place one in each clam shell
  • Place a piece of dime-sized blue cheese in each clam shell
  • Sprinkle with parmsean
  • Broil for 10 minutes until bubbling good and browned on top

    It sometimes happens when I am in the supermarket and certain ingredients jump out at me and the blue cheese with the clams in this recipe really gives it a pop of flavor. The bread soaks up the juice and is nicely toasted.
