How to make it

  • Mix together in a small pan the gg yolks and lemon juice.
  • Place over VERY low heat.
  • Add 1/2 stick butter.
  • Stir constantly with wooden spoon.
  • When butter is melted add the other 1/2 stick.
  • Keep stirring until thickened.
  • If it should begine to curdle, remove from heat and add 1 tbl hot water.
  • Great on eggs benedict, asparagus or broccoli!

    amazing! very tangy if that's what you're going for. i used white pepper and a touch of nutmeg. i only wish i had found this recipe sooner. bravo!

    Eggs Benedict is my favorite breakfast, but I've never made it at home, because I was afrid to make this sauce, your recipe makes it seem so simple and easy, I will be giving this a try. Thank you so much!!
