Kohlrabi Slaw Recipe
The combination of kohlrabi, daikon, carrots, and wasabi makes this the perfect accompaniment to a small dish of jasmine rice.

Ingredients
  • ΒΌ cup unseasoned rice or cider vinegar
  • 3 tsp wasabi powder
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 lb (about 1 large) kohlrabi, unpeeled and shredded
  • 12 oz (about 1/2 medium) daikon radish, peeled and shredded
  • 1 small carrot, shredded
  • 1 large scallion, thinly sliced

Directions
  1. Mix together vinegar, wasabi powder, sugar, salt, and soy sauce in a large bowl.
  2. Add the vegetables, toss to coat.
  3. Chill 1 hour before serving.

We just started growing kohlrabi couple years ago and always ate it with veggie dip. I love all the
ingredients in this slaw, will be new favorite! TY

This is an excellent recipe-a definate keeper! We used to have a large garden in another house and we grew kohlrabi. It never made it into the house-not once. I used to keep a knife in the garden so it would be nearby when I picked veggies and the kohlrabi would be picked, cleaned and shared on the spot. Now I have to buy it at the market and I would love to try your recipe once the kohlrabi comes into season again.

I've only tried kohlrabi once, and I liked it. I can't wait to try this recipe. I love slaw. The addition of wasabi powder sounds awesome!
