Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp ground cloves

1/2 cup shortening

3 eggs

1 cup strawberry preserves

2/3 cup milk

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

1 cup sugar

Directions

Sift flour, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg

Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy- beat in eggs until mixture is light & smooth.

Add preserves.

Add dry ingredients and milk alternately a little at a time

Pour batter into waxed paper cuts in muffin pans

Bake 25 - 30 minutes at 375 degrees

Can be baked in a large pan at 350 degrees for a longer period of time
