Butterscotchy Haystacks
From alaskaman 17 years agoIngredients
- 1 bag chow mein noodles - 12 oz shopping list
- 1 bag Butterscotch morsels shopping list
- 1 can unsalted peanuts - 5 oz shopping list
How to make it
- Melt morsels in a double boiler (if you dont have one, just use a large metal mixing bowl on top of a typical pot of boiling water)
- Stir regularly
- When all morsels are melted and creamy, IMMEDIATELY remove from heat and add noodle and peanuts
- QUICKLY alternate adding noodles and peanuts, adding 1/4 of each at a time
- Stir carefully so as to not break noodles to much, yet all ingriedents are evenly covered in butterscotch
- Spoon heaping globs onto wax paper to cool
- Notice how the small globs resemble little farming haystacks in a field of golden whey....
- Enjoy when hardend!
