Gluten Free Pound Cake Recipe

How to make it

  • cream butter and sugar in a medium bowl on high speed until pale in color and light in texture
  • add eggs, one at a time, blending well after each addition
  • sift flour mix, xanthan gum, and baking powder in a small bowl
  • add flour mixture to creamed mixture, alternating with sour cream
  • add vanilla and mix well
  • pour into a buttered and floured 10-inch tube pan or a 12- cup bundt pan
  • preheat oven to 350' F
  • bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean with a few crumbs clinging to it.
  • let cake stand for 10-15 minutes in pan before turning out onto a cooling rack
  • when cake is completely cooled, dust with powdered sugar..
  • eat just like this or serve with your favorite topping: fruit, sauce, ice cream
