Simple Oven-Dried Tomatoes

- Roma or paste tomatoes dry best (as many as you want) shopping list
- kosher salt shopping list
How to make it
- Cut them in half and place on cookie sheet with cut side up.
- Lightly sprinkle tomatoes with kosher or table salt.
- Place in 250-degree oven keep oven door propped open with wooden spoon.
- Cook 6-10 hours or until tomatoes are leathery but not dry.
- Store in a zippered bag.
- Place in freezer.
- Take them out when you need them for recipes.

When I buy sundried .. in the bag. They are so hard.. Do these get this way? Can I store them in olive oil? Have to try this when my tomatoes get ripe this fall... Thanks!
