Creole Pork Chops Recipe

Creole Pork Chops Recipe
My inspiration for this recipe came from another one I saw in a cookbook. I took the idea and made it my own. My family loves this one. It is very moist and melts in your mouth!!

Ingredients
  • 8 Pork Chops or Pork Loin (1/2 inch thick)
  • several small onions, sliced
  • 1 cup catsup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 cup water

Directions
  1. Place pork in single layer on bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish
  2. Place slices of onion over top of pork
  3. Combine the remaining ingredients in a bowl, stir until thoroughly mixed
  4. Carefully pour over the pork and onions to cover them (If your pork is thicker, you may need to make more "sauce" to cover them)
  5. Place in a 350 degree oven
  6. Bake uncovered for 1 1/2 hour to 2 hours (time depends on the thickness of the pork)
  7. Periodically, spoon liquid over the pork to keep the onions moist.

Some of the basic ingredients in bbq sauce ... sounds great. I love lots of onions. Thanks for the post.
