Lazy Chipotle sauce

- 1 12 Oz can of Chipotles in adobo shopping list
- 1 12 Oz can of chopped tomatoes shopping list
- 1/2 a small onion (your choice) shopping list
- 3 tablespoons garlic powder shopping list
- 3 tablespoons oregano shopping list
- 3 bay leaves shopping list
- 1 tablespoon cumin shopping list
- 1 tablespoon Sumac shopping list
- 1 tablespoon thyme shopping list
- 1 plastic thingy of lime juice shopping list
How to make it
- Chop up the onion and saute in olive oil until tender
- Put the sauted onions and all other ingredients, except bay leaves, into food process and blend
- Empty everything out into the top of a double boiler
- Add bay leaves and cook over boiling water for on hour covered
- Cool, put into fridge overnight
- The next day run it all through your puree pot.
- Put into squeeze bottle. Keeps for weeks in refrigerator.

Sounds really delicious. I just tried my hand at making chipotles in adobo at home and they turned out great. I have also really gotten into sumac as of late - it's so good. Great post - thanks! :) Vickie
