Ingredients

How to make it

  • Chop up the onion and saute in olive oil until tender
  • Put the sauted onions and all other ingredients, except bay leaves, into food process and blend
  • Empty everything out into the top of a double boiler
  • Add bay leaves and cook over boiling water for on hour covered
  • Cool, put into fridge overnight
  • The next day run it all through your puree pot.
  • Put into squeeze bottle. Keeps for weeks in refrigerator.

    Sounds really delicious. I just tried my hand at making chipotles in adobo at home and they turned out great. I have also really gotten into sumac as of late - it's so good. Great post - thanks! :) Vickie
