Ingredients
  • 2 C ruby or Tawny port wine
  • 2 Cups Mission figs, if available or use what you have
  • 1 tart apple, quarted
  • 1 tbl sugar (optional, the figs are sweet)

Directions
  1. Place all ingredients in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until reduced by half or less
  3. Strain and spoon over grilled chops or chicken

Oh, sorry, I don't like figs! Mum used to give us syrup of figs to help us 'go' lol It put me right off them!
