Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups pitted bing cherries
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 6 cups cold water

Directions
  1. Heat sugar and water to dissolve sugar.
  2. Add 1 cup cherries, bring to a boil.
  3. Cook a few minutes to soften cherries.
  4. Set aside to cool.
  5. Strain cooled syrup intop pitcher, pressing out juices
  6. Add lemon juice, cold water, remaining cherries.
  7. Pour over ice and garnish with mint.
  8. Yield 2 quarts
