Italian Love Cake

Easy dessert starting with a box mix, that may be made the night before and should be refrigerated 6-8 hours before serving. This cake was a hit the first time I made it.
Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix shopping list
- Topping shopping list
- 2 pounds ricotta cheese shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- icing shopping list
- 1 cup cold milk shopping list
- 1 small bocx chocolate instant pudding shopping list
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 8 oz container Cool Whip shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Prepare cake mix according to package directions and pour into a prepared 13 x 9 inch pan.
- Beat together the ricotta, eggs, sugar and vanilla until well mixed. Spoon onto cake batter in pan and spread with a knife.
- Bake at 350 F. for 60 minutes. As cake bakes, cheese filling sinks to bottom.
- To Prepare the icing:
- Beat together the milk , pudding and powdered sugar . Fold in cool Whip and spread on cooled cake.
- Refrigerate for 6-8 hours before serving.
