Ingredients
  • 1 ea box mac and cheese - just about any kind
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss or other cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • other additions of your choice including vegetables and meat in any combo

Directions
  1. Cook the mac in the box according to directions and STOP.
  2. Drain the water and put back the mac into the pan and add 1/2 stick of butter and put back on low heat.
  3. In a blender, put a CUP of milk, the powder from the packet and at least on full cup of the cheese of your choice. We love swiss.
  4. Cover and blend well on high for 10 seconds.
  5. Add blended mix to pan of mac and butter.
  6. Stir for a minute or two until well mixed and hot.
  7. Note: you can add vegetables, meat or the combo of your choice for and even different taste. Like a can of tuna (you may want to add the liquid to the blender so it gets well incorporated into the sauce and then add the tuna directly to the mac and butter before adding the sauce. Mix and heat well..

Nice way to doctor up a boxed favorite to make it taste 'homemade'. Thanks for sharing! ~ Natalie
