Cheryls Crockpot Dressing Recipe
This dish is an old family favorite. I make it even if I am just cooking chicken any time of year. yummy!

Ingredients
  • 1 8" pan cornbread
  • 10 slices day old bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cans chicken stock
  • 1 cup leftover chicken, chopped
  • 1/4 stick butter

Directions
  1. Saute onions and celery in first amount of butter, until tender-crisp.
  2. In a large bowl, crumble both breads .
  3. Add the sauteed onion and celery, and the remaining ingredients, except the last butter. Mix well.
  4. Pour into a crock pot, dot with remaining butter; cover.
  5. Cook on HIGH for 2-3 hours or LOW for 4-6 hours
