How to make it

  • I microwave everything but the mushrooms together until it is melty.
  • Wash mushrooms.
  • Cut off just enough of the stem to get any yucky stuff off.
  • Then remove the stems, leaving you with the mushrooms caps.
  • Put the mushroom caps in a shallow baking pan.
  • Take the stems and finely chop them.
  • Add the stem bits to the cream cheese mixture.
  • Give it a taste and see what you think.
  • Make sure there is enough garlic, as it the garlic will mellow as the mushrooms bake.
  • Put the filling in each mushroom cup.
  • You will most likely have leftover filling. You can eat this with crackers.
  • Bake at 375 for about 20 minutes.
  • I check on them after 15 minutes.
  • If you want, you can pour off some of the liquid while it is baking.
  • The tops should be browned.
