Stuffed Mushrooms

- Per 8 oz of mushrooms: shopping list
- 1 package of cream cheese, shopping list
- a cup of parmesan cheese, shopping list
- 3 tbls. or so of minced garlic shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste. shopping list
How to make it
- I microwave everything but the mushrooms together until it is melty.
- Wash mushrooms.
- Cut off just enough of the stem to get any yucky stuff off.
- Then remove the stems, leaving you with the mushrooms caps.
- Put the mushroom caps in a shallow baking pan.
- Take the stems and finely chop them.
- Add the stem bits to the cream cheese mixture.
- Give it a taste and see what you think.
- Make sure there is enough garlic, as it the garlic will mellow as the mushrooms bake.
- Put the filling in each mushroom cup.
- You will most likely have leftover filling. You can eat this with crackers.
- Bake at 375 for about 20 minutes.
- I check on them after 15 minutes.
- If you want, you can pour off some of the liquid while it is baking.
- The tops should be browned.
