How to make it

  • Cook beef in water for 1-1/2 hours to make rich broth.
  • Slice veal kidney into edible slices and dredge in flour then brown in butter.
  • Brown onions in butter as well.
  • Stir ham, hot dog slices, kidney and onions into beef stock and cook 20 minutes.
  • Add remaining ingredients and cook another 15 minutes.
