How to make it

  • There are 2 sections
  • First section in the ingredient list: (Sauerkraut mixture) with ingredients
  • from bacon to whiite wine;
  • Second section of the ingredient list (GULYAS) which is from the white wine
  • to the end.
  • Make the gulyas: saute the chopped onions, add the meat, garlic, tomatoes,
  • paprika, and 1/2 of the stock. Simmer 1 1/2 hrs. Add remaining stock during
  • cooking and add water if needed.
  • Saute the thinly sliced onions, add bacon, sauerkraut, caraway seeds and
  • heat through. Combine with the gulyas and simmer for 10-15 more mins.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes.
