How to make it

  • Put everything but the oysters in a double-boiler.
  • Stirring constantly, reduce to a custard-like consistency.
  • Remove from heat.
  • In a separate pan, cook the oysters in their own liquor.
  • When the liquor boils, remove from heat, drain the oysters, and mix them into the dressing.
  • Put in the refrigerator.
