How to make it

  • Combine all ingredients except rolls in a slow cooker; mix well. Cover and cook on low setting for 6 to 8 hours,
  • Stirring occasionally, until meat is tender.
  • Serve on really good onion rolls.

    I made this last night & it was delicious! And a big hit with the whole family. I used a 1.25lb london broil, though, so there's only 1 sandwich-worth left for lunch today. The battle for the leftovers may get ugly! BTW, I forgot to get it out of the freezer the night before, so I stuck the frozen slab in the slow cooker on High for a couple of hours, then turned it down. Had to shred the beef, but it was still wonderful!

    Faxed this recipe to my sister in Michigan... She said it was the easiest and best tasting BBQ she has had in a long time... She has no internet has me look for recipes for her. She said give it a 5! Is that legal... me doing that for my sister? Don't want to rattle the bushes here!

    I like this. Great for summertime when you don't want to stay in the kitchen. If you can't find a good lean chuck (which is getting harder to find) try a shoulder roast. Same stuff, less fat. And i'll have mine dressed with coleslaw, thank you.
