Dutch Strawberry Pie Recipe

Ingredients

2 pie crusts (I used graham, but pastry would work as well)

4 C Strawberries

2 Tbsp flour

1/4 C water

1 pkg. strawberry jello, divided.

1 pkg. oatmeal crisp mix (or use the oatmeal crisp recipe that follows)

Directions

Mix strawberries, flour and water, and boil until liquid starts to thicken.

Add 2 tsps. of the jello mix. Keep boiling until liquid is thick. (add more flour if it is not thick enough.

Scoop strawberries into pies shells. (there may be extra sauce. Use only if desired. I like my pies thicker)

In a separate bowl, prepare oatmeal crisp according to package instructions. Sprinkle over pies, and bake at 375 for 35 minutes, or until topping is crisp.

Cool and serve.

Oatmeal Crisp

1 c. brown sugar

1 c. old fashioned rolled oats

1 c. all-purpose flour

1/2 c. butter, melted

In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, oats, flour and butter. Mix until crumbly.
