Dutch Strawberry Pie

- 2 pie crusts (I used graham, but pastry would work as well) shopping list
- 4 C strawberries shopping list
- 2 Tbsp flour shopping list
- 1/4 C water shopping list
- 1 pkg. strawberry jello, divided. shopping list
- 1 pkg. oatmeal crisp mix (or use the oatmeal crisp recipe that follows) shopping list
How to make it
- Mix strawberries, flour and water, and boil until liquid starts to thicken.
- Add 2 tsps. of the jello mix. Keep boiling until liquid is thick. (add more flour if it is not thick enough.
- Scoop strawberries into pies shells. (there may be extra sauce. Use only if desired. I like my pies thicker)
- In a separate bowl, prepare oatmeal crisp according to package instructions. Sprinkle over pies, and bake at 375 for 35 minutes, or until topping is crisp.
- Cool and serve.
- Oatmeal Crisp
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. old fashioned rolled oats
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. butter, melted
- In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, oats, flour and butter. Mix until crumbly.
