Chicken With Nuts In Hoisin Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 whole chicken breast,bones,skinned and cut in 1" cubes
  • 6 water chestnuts
  • 2 med size dried chinese mushrooms
  • 1/2c bamboo shoots
  • 1/2c nuts(cahews or almonds)
  • 1Tbs. dry sherry
  • 1tsp cornstarch
  • 2Tbs hoisin sauce
  • 2Tbs peanut oil

Directions
  1. Marinate chickenbreast in sherryand cornstarch for 10 mins.
  2. Soak mushrooms in warm water for 20 mins. Cut same size as water chestnuts.Cut bamboo shoots into 1" pieces
  3. Heat oil in fry pan over high flame. Add chicken,srtir fry 2 mins till chicken turns white. Add mushrooms,water chestnuts and bamboo shoots and stir another minute Add 2 Tbs hoisi sauce and mix well. Just before serving add nut mixture and stir.
  4. Note: If you can't find chinese mushrooms,use regular mushrooms.
