How to make it

  • Sauce:
  • Wash and drain berries. Combine with sugar and water and cinnamon. Bring to a boil in large saucepan.
  • Reduce heat simmer until berries are soft and sauce starts to thicken about 5 minutes.
  • Dumplings:
  • Whisk together Baking Powder, Sugar, Salt and flour.
  • Cut in butter and shortening with pastry blender to coarse crumb stage.
  • Stir in enough milk to make a soft dough.
  • Drop by spoonfuls on top of the hot sauce.
  • Immediately Put the lid on your saucepan and cook over medium heat. IMPORTANT NO PEEKING for 18minutes DO NOT REMOVE LID UNTIL TIME IS UP.
  • Serve warm with French vanilla ice cream or whipped cream

    its like making dumplings. They'll be done after the 18 min. Make sure your sauce is very hot
