Spanish Steak Recipe

This dish puts a spicy spin on the Round Steak. Accompany with green beans, broccoli, and tossed salad..

Ingredients
- * 1 Round Steak Tenderized cut into serving sizes
- * 1 Lg. Onion chopped
- * 1 Lg. Green Pepper seeded and chopped
- * 3 tbsp. Brown Sugar
- * 2 tbsp. Lemon Juice
- * 1 tbsp. Worchestershire Sauce
- * 1 tbsp. Chili Powder
- * ½ tsp. Salt
- * 1 tsp. Mustard
- * 1 cup of Water
- * 1 can ( 8 oz. ) Tomato Sauce
- * ¼ cup Ketchup
Directions
- Dredge meat in flour and brown in skillet..
- Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Cover and reduce heat to a simmer.
- Cook until meat is very tender, approx. 1 hour..
- Keep adding water when necessary to maintain your sauce quantity.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or white or brown rice and top with sauce.
