How to make it

  • Put meat, onion and garlic in large pot; sear until browned
  • Add remaining ingredients
  • Bring to a boil; lower heat; simmer, covered, 1 hour
  • Let cool, then refrigerate
  • Skim congealed fat from top
  • Reheat to serve
